Medical Fund

FUND FOR FRANCISCO

Medical expenses, travel expenses, time off from work expenses, staying in Tucson expenses…It all adds up and none of us wants Francisco’s family to be alone with this. A medical fund has been set up with Bank of America for those who wish to assist. Deposits to the fund can be made at any Bank of America branch nationwide. Your checks need to be made out to: FRANCISCO J. BAIRES MEDICAL FUND. Make sure to tell the teller at the bank that the account is an Arizona account and that the last 4 digits of the account number are 5840. This is a way of ensuring it goes to the correct account.

  • Hey just a thought. I am sure the hospital has free WI-FI that you can use as most do. You could go to Wal-Mart and buy a USB phone that you can plug into your laptop. Then you could get SKYPE. Its like $8.95 for 3 month, or $29.95 for 12 months, and you can make unlimited calls anywhere in the US and canada. Its just a thought since the cell phone doesn’t work to good. heres a link to Skype http://www.skype.com/products/skypeout/

  • hey francisco,
it’s liz tapp. i hope you’re feeling okay today. i miss you. i’m going to be thinking about you so hard that maybe you’ll just know it. but this message, is in case the thought waves don’t travel across all these states, or get all garbled in travel, that you’ll know for sure. I’ll think hard about us dancing, because I think that always makes you happy. And we’ll pretend there’s strobe lights and balloons falling from the ceiling. love you.

To Franky and family , we want you to know that our sincere and heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you daily. Please read the 23rd chapter of Psalms to Franky for continuing strength and support.

  • Bianca and Tina Guillen

Bianca called me from L.A. on Saturday.”Mom, remember my friend Francisco…?” told me of the incident and was very worried and concerned. (what words can describe my daughter’s pain ?) I comforted her and told her to pray. And behold! he is here, back with his beautiful family.
I met Francisco, at Time Market, he was reading on the patio, I thought “what a handsome young man, he looks a little like Richard Dreyfus but in a handsome way. So, Bianca and I walk out and she say’s “Mom I would like you to meet a friend…” Had no idea she knew him.
Know that prayers are in abundance, and remember to take of eachother. God Bless You !!!!

  • I’m so glad that Cisco is out of a coma. Gabriel has been my source for information. Cisco’s girlfriend has been keeping him updated and he in turn has been keeping me updated. He just told me about this site. It’s a beautiful thing to see his friends have posted so many comments of support. I’m trying to get some things in order so i can fly over there for at least a day or two. Gabriel and i just feel so helpless not being able to do anything here in Houston, as I’m sure all of us on this site feel the same way where they are. I pray for him every day and hope he’s awake and up on his two feet soon making the world a better place as he always has.

    Franky,
We have never met, but your mom has talked to me alot about you. She is very proud of you and the man you have grown up to be. Needless to say I feel like we are close friends. I have been here in Florida checking on Mr. Carl and your grandmother whom I know you are VERY protective of and wishing that there was more I could do. Your mom is tough on me but I love and respect her very much. I have been praying for you and your family and I have told others to be praying for you and your family. Get better soon because you can never have too many good people in your life and I look forward to adding you to my life because I know you are a great person. Hang in there everyone.
P.S. Ms. Pam I only wish you were here to tell me the things I missed while cleaning for you. Laugh out loud!!!
Take care of yourselves and God Bless,
    Stephanie

  • I recieved word late on the 3rd through the site. I feel upset that I will not be able to fly up to be with you but I know your surrounded by family. You know I think of you as a brother and you are always in my thoughts. Sam sends her love and Daniella is growing incredibly fast. You are one of the toughest people I know and you must feel the love and support of your friends and family. Viola and Sam’s family also send their love.

  • Terri Roberts

Hey it’s Terri Roberts from Knoxville. I just heard and wanted to send you my best wishes and prayers.
I was just remembering a day a couple of years ago…I was at Cup of Joe at one of the outside tables reading and you rode up on your bike and said, “Do you want to hear something amazing?” and you put your headphones on my head and I heard the beautiful music of the Octopus Project for the first time…and you just sat there while I listened for what seemed like an hour. Thank you for that. I will keep you in my prayers and hope for your swift recovery.

  • Frankie,

Rodney just told me about what happened. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I have complete and utter faith that you will make it through. Your sister aptly dubbed this website or tribute to you as a journey and that is what you should think of it as. Each improvement, however small, brings you closer to the arms of all the people who love you … of all the people that you have managed to touch. All of us here in Texas are praying for a speedy recovery.

  • Hi! I’m Erik Pointer’s mom-in-law. Just wanted you all – especially Pam- to know that I have been praying for Frankie’s recovery and that we also have MANY people in a prayer chain in Indiana praying. I keep getting asked how he is doing. It is so good to see this website- I have been relying on Ang and Erik for updates and they have been sketchy:) Keep strong and keep up the good work sis!

  • Hey Frankie, I haven’t seen you in a while. I was just informed of what happened by Valmichael. I’m pulling for you man. Sometimes strange and horrible things happen in life, but there’s always something positive to gain from the struggle. I know you’ll come out of this well and strong, as will your family and everyone who has been there to help you through this.

    Hola Francisco,
It’s been a long while since I’ve talked or heard about you. It’s your old buddy from good old Brownsville . The last I heard was that you were living in Tennesse from Vince. I came across the article about you and was shocked to hear what happened to you, but I’m ecstatic to hear that you’re recovering. I’m also glad to hear that you pursued your dreams. You’ve come a long way since your Starbucks days. Ha! Ha! I always knew that you would pursue your dreams and I think what your doing now is so amazing. You’re a remarkable person. I’ll never forget what you dedicated to me in the book that you gave me about the life of Che Guevara: “Knowledge is power.” You are so right. Hope you continue to get well and I wish you all the best. Roxanne also wishes you the best to you and your family.

  • Roxanne DeLeon-Manjarrez

    Hey you!
It’s one of your ghosts from Brownsville past. I am soo sorry to hear about that horrible incident but am overjoyed to know that you are making a speedy recovery with the help of, what looks to be, a wonderful support team of friends and family. It is no suprise to find out that you have accomplished so many wonderful things already. What an inspiration you have always been for me and continue to be. Love ya lots! Roxanne
